Melbourne Private Photography Course – 2 Hours

Private Photography Lessons are customized for you so you can learn the type of photography you are interested in and learn at your own pace.

You have a choice of doing a 2-hour session or a 4-hour session that is split into 2 sessions of 2 hours each with the option of having homework in between your lessons.

We can choose the location for you, give you suggestions or you can choose a location. If your chosen location is more than 5km out of the CBD radius a travel fee will apply.

Using a Light Meter Workshop

Looking for hands-on photography workshops in Melbourne? Join Guy Little, our Melbourne Tutor, for this practical photography class and learn how to use a light meter to its full potential to capture incredible images!

In this workshop, you’ll learn how correct exposure is defined and how to look, expose and shoot for it to obtain consistent, correct exposures time and time again.

During this class, you’ll also learn how the correct exposure forms the foundation for a good photograph and develop an understanding of how different light meters work in incident, reflected and flash and when to use each one.

Learn how to define and look for blacks, whites, tonal ranges, and detail in highlights and shadow. We’ll also explore grey, black and white and colour scales and passport checker.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll know how to use exposure to completely enhance your photography and shoot amazing photos every time!

Shoot, Develop & Scan B&W 35mm Film

Looking for fun photography experiences in Melbourne? If you have previously tried out our light meter photography workshop then give this film photography class a go and learn how to shoot, develop and scan black and white 35mm film!

In this hands-on class, you’ll be shown how to correctly expose, process and scan film. You’ll be given a roll of 35mm black and white film to go into your camera, followed by a practical shooting task.

Following the shooting, we’ll take you through a lecture on film processing and then in a one-on-one learning environment you’ll learn how to process your own film, assess it for correct exposure on a light table, sleeve it and then scan the images to take home on your own USB thumb drive.

By the end of this class, you’ll have captured several stunning black-and-white photographs to add to your portfolio and have the confidence to continue trying film photography at home.
