Melbourne’s SLR Photography Course is a great photography workshop that will teach you all about the manual settings on your camera.

You will be guided through the best aspects of three modes; the shutter priority, aperture priority, and manual mode.

During this walking style photography course, you will be taught all about White Balance, ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture so you know why you’d use them and how to use them effectively.

The photography lesson will take you through many photogenic tourist locations including some of Melbourne’s famous arcades and laneways.

This photography course will give you tips on how to take better photographs out of auto mode so you’ll never shoot in auto again.

The class is run by Krystal Seigerman in small groups of 8 students maximum so you receive plenty of individual help over the 4 hours.

At the end of the photography course, you will be a better photographer with a great new wealth of knowledge.

Melbourne’s Travel Photography Course is a fun photography course that will take you to many of Melbourne’s tourist attractions while teaching you how to take great photographs.

We jump on trains, trams, walk across bridges, go up the Eureka Sky deck and take in the Shrine of Remembrance, wander through the Royal Botanic Gardens, and cruise along the streets of Acland Street before taking in a sunset at St Kilda beach.
It’s designed for you to take better photographs with a travel theme so suited to both locals & tourists visiting Melbourne.

The class is run by Krystal Seigerman in small groups of 6 students maximum so you receive plenty of individual help over the 8 hours.

This is a fun day photography course that will show you the best of Melbourne and teach you how to capture it stunningly.

Any camera is suitable for this course however a camera with manual settings will be most beneficial.

Melbourne Private Photography Course – 2 Hours

Private Photography Lessons are customized for you so you can learn the type of photography you are interested in and learn at your own pace.

You have a choice of doing a 2-hour session or a 4-hour session that is split into 2 sessions of 2 hours each with the option of having homework in between your lessons.

We can choose the location for you, give you suggestions or you can choose a location. If your chosen location is more than 5km out of the CBD radius a travel fee will apply.

Using a Light Meter Workshop

Looking for hands-on photography workshops in Melbourne? Join Guy Little, our Melbourne Tutor, for this practical photography class and learn how to use a light meter to its full potential to capture incredible images!

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to correct exposure is defined and how to look, expose and shoot for it to obtain consistent, correct exposures time and time again.

During this class, you’ll also learn how the correct exposure forms the foundation for a good photograph and develop an understanding of how different light meters work in incident, reflected and flash and when to use each one.

Learn how to define and look for blacks, whites, tonal ranges, detail in highlights and shadow. We’ll also explore grey, black and white and colour scales and passport checker.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll know how to use exposure to completely enhance your photography and shoot amazing photos every time!

Shoot, Develop & Scan B&W 35mm Film

Looking for fun photography experiences in Melbourne? If you have previously tried out our light meter photography workshop then give this film photography class a go and learn how to shoot, develop and scan black and white 35mm film!

In this hands-on class, you’ll be shown how to correctly expose, process and scan film. You’ll be given a roll of 35mm black and white film to go into your camera, followed by a practical shooting task.

Following the shooting, we’ll take you through a lecture on film processing and then in a one on one learning environment you’ll learn how to process your own film, assess it for correct exposure on a light table, sleeve it and then scan the images to take home on your own USB thumb drive.

By the end of this class, you’ll have captured a number of stunning black and white photographs to add to your portfolio and the confidence to continue trying film photography at home.
